5 stars + Super nice team. We felt at home and the food was really fantastic. The apartment had a very modern bathroom and a nice little kitchen.

We used the Schwarzwaldgasthof-Hotel zum Löwen-Unteres Wirtshaus as a starting point for our explorations of the Black Forest for a whole week. We have been pampered in every way by the Straub family and their team. The accommodation was great. The breakfast buffet varied. The evening menu left nothing to be desired. A visit to the sauna was good for us after long tours. We also got valuable tips on exploring the Black Forest. We say thank you for the hospitality.

That was very delicious. Plenty on the plate. The red-bubbly-cold-fruit drink mmmhhh. Upon request, I was even shown the bottle of Schweppes and explained what needs to be in ... Great dealings with customers, with funny sayings.

we both had a salad here which was at least 2 days old and käsespätzle, made with heavy cream (a total no no), all served with last week's bread. this is just careless and not worth such a high rating - based on which we had chosen the restaurant initially. we we're looking forward to a good, 'down to earth' meal in the black forest and were unfortunately quite disappointed. nice atmosphere and very friendly service, but still - not a very good memory.

Good home cooking. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to taste of the lime grass. Staff is friendly and quick.

Extensive menu, very courteous service, especially when it comes to reservations. It is advisable to reserve. In the Black Forest, the gastronomy is generally very good. The lower tavern fits in seamlessly without particularly sticking out. Definitely worth a visit.

Very hospitable We are from the southern Black Forest and have deliberately chosen the family-run hotel ... Here the boss (hotelier) lends a hand and fulfills his guests with his friendly manner almost every wish. The breakfast buffet is great (even in Corona times) - very plentiful and freshly served by the staff. One can only recommend the good home-style food in the restaurant. The rooms are very clean and comfortably furnished. We would love to come back ...

We were eating twice in a row and it was both delicious. The service, is a very friendly gentleman, remembers a lot and is not long in coming. The reservation was also not a problem, since we had no telephone connection, we made reservations via email and that was also problem-free. Thumbs up and full star number.

Super great restaurant and highly recommended! We spontaneously came to the restaurant with 16 people and were served very, very friendly. The restaurant has great service, which was mainly due to the great waiter (Andreas). Despite 16 people, the food was served very promptly and for everyone at the same time. It was also of excellent quality. Delicious!! Gladly again anytime. :)

Absolutely excited! There were three of us (2 adults, 1 child 5 years), had half board and were in the house next to accommodated. Great apartment, very well maintained. Delicious food and all super friendly. Especially Andreas! We will definitely be back!

The hotel is warm and the view is gorgeous, the hosts are warm and nice and the breakfast is good and the rooms are well equipped.

Nice, Clean and Big rooms. Great location with amazing nature view. We were 2 adults and 3 children, the suite we got was split to 2 big rooms, with fully equipped kitchen. Great and welcoming staff.

We stayed here just for one night, but it was very nice. Rustic and peaceful, close to Badeparadies (5.5 km) and to the Feldberg Ski Resort (20 km), it was just what we were looking for. The breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly and kind.

Great food and atmosphere. I liked that they have got different specials and the Schwarzwälderkirschtorte (Cherry Cake with some alcohol) is just amazing.
